Inchie and Journal Page

Happy New Week everyone and I hope it will be a good one for you.

At Every Inchie Monday this week the theme is hippo. A shame that our numbers have dwindled a bit at EIM but I am sure that those of us that join in enjoy it very much.

 I found this wonderful hippo on a colouring site and couldn't resist colouring it in, resizing it and using it for my inchie this week

A new theme for July at Art Journal Journey and Bluebeard and Elizabeth have chosen Summer time Love to get us thinking about the joys of summer. Butterflies have to be one of the most loved creatures in our garden.




The background of this page is a mop up piece of kitchen roll. I stuck it to a piece of card then stuck the whole thing into my black page journal. The next thing I did was dig out a box of wooden and card embellishments that haven't seen daylight for a very long time. This was to join in the challenge at
 Mixed Media Monthly with the theme Altered embellishments I  saw this on Astrid's blog 


I will also add this to Altered Ecletics that let you make anything altered but no cards etc. Always great ideas from the team there.

    Holy cow, Chrissie. You are on a roll. I simply adore your inchie this week. Too bad the numbers have dwindled. I had contemplated playing this year until I realized I had no ability to draw animals. Yours is fabulous, and always look interesting. It makes Mondays fun.

    Of course, I simply adore the beautiful piece you made for AJJ. It's gorgeous, and I adore the fact you used a mop up paper/kitchen towel. Seems you have found a way to make it not only your own, but fit another challenge blog, too.

    What a great hippo, the jaws look powerful enough that they could soon crush even the more solid parts of me! I had noticed that our numbers had dropped, shame really, but some stalwarts are still doing the mini pieces - it's a nice change from a journal page lol!

    Its a cute hippo inchie, I am always amazed at what you cab do in such a small area.

    Love all 3 pieces, I think that ppl are enjoying the summer and that is why there is a bit less people doing EIM but that is cool for now. The Hippo is so cute and the summer love piece is really great

Hi All and a happy new week. Thank you for popping in at Jumbled Crafts. Happy T Day to my friends from Elizabeth and Bluebeard's Tuesday get together. Happy 4th Anniversay to their T a Day posts. This week we haven't been far at all as we both like watching Wimbledon so have stayed home and just had a short walk somewhere in the morning. Short walk meaning 10,000 steps if possible  This is my meal in a bowl and a drink. It is quick to make and means I can nibble at it with a fork and watch television with a nice cup of tea. It is a tuna salad with grapes. I was going to be really clever this week and make a tea cup and saucer with beautiful additions. This came about because I decided to clear out lots of old folders on my computer and this project was in one of them I made the cup ok, then thought WHY? It may or not get finished. Digital picture and inchie

Hello Everyone. Hope you are all safe and well.The weather isn't very good for a lot of people and ours has turned cold quite quickly but it is sunny and bright as well. Thank you for dropping by today. It's Monday again so time for Every Inchie Monday where the theme this week is direction I chose Compass points but I sure others will have some great ideas. Now to a challenge I haven't entered before. It is at Left of Center  where they have Halloween as the theme. I thought this digital picture might be ok for their theme. Challenge 3 at Out of a Hat

This week at Out of a Hat the challenge is to use some of your craft stash and I have had this scrapbook for years just waiting to be used. Also had the doillies for a very long time as well so I have combined the two for this challenge There was only the one that was heart shaped but it did inspire the theme for the page The photograph on the left is my Grandma and Grandfather-no one seems certain if it is their wedding photograph or taken after or before that. The other photograph is of my dad when he was about a year old. I never saw either of these pictures until recently when my aunt was sorting through boxes of papers and found them. Both were obviouly well love pictures and the one of my grandparents even has elastoplast in the top corners where it must have been hung up at some time. These are only copies that I have made. Nice to have a page safely in the scrapbook and I hope to do more soon.
