A collage for a few challenge blogs
I have been wanting to make a book to stick my postcards in for ages and got a few things ready yesterday to make a front cover. It was great to see that the things I had chosen fit in with a few of the challenges that I follow.

A challenge blog I never miss is Craft-room Challenge and their theme is Collage.
This book cover fits in with all of those and I had everything ready to make it before I looked at the challenges :)
The background is a piece of strong card and I dabbed it with various things to make it look distressed. The paper is Crafty Individuals-Travels in Italy and the stamp is Crafty Individuals as well as I thought it went well with the theme of my book.
I sewed a strip of material onto the background then threaded a piece of ribbon through it.
Next I coloured the stamped image with Promarkers to match the paper-mounted that on a piece of material. Lastly came the wooden butterflies-sorry still don't know where they were from. Lastly I added the sentiments. All I need to do now is make a book to fit the front.
