Thursday is Tags Day and photographs
Hi All. We seem to be having more than our share of rain the last few days and it is cold as well so a good time to do some crafting.
At Tag Tuesday , Joan has chosen The Beach for our theme for the next 2 weeks. Hope to see you there with your ideas for the beach theme. Any format or size of tag you like so long as it has Joan's theme on it.
For my second tag for this theme I have gone digital. The background is one of my own photographs taken at Filey and I think the quote is true for me.
Go Tag Thursday always give a head's up for the week ahead and I try to be ready with a tag for that. This week the theme is Butterfly or Butterflies
This was sort of a happy accident tag as I ran it through a Cuttlebug folder then painted it with Aztec Metallics silver. It was taking ages to dry so I used my heat gun and it curved at the sides so I have left it that way. The flowers were cut from a piece of wallpaper and the butterflies from birthday cards
Here are photographs of some of the barges on the Skipton Canal. All are lived in or for rent as holiday homes.
Have a great day
Love Chrissie xx
Gorgeous tags, love them both, especially the curved one, a serendipitous happening indeed. The photos of the boats along the canal are beautiful, must be a nice place for a holiday. Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteFabulous tags Chrissie, The one with the butterflies looks stunning, they are looking like they are about to fly away.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your photos as well, walking up the canal on a sunning day must have been lovely. It was wet the last time we did that.
Yvonne xx
Beautiful tags Chrissie, I love the butterflies and your canal boat photos are lovely.

love your tag and the qoute and the boats pictures are fab, love to live on a boat
ReplyDeleteYou are SO clever, Chrissie. Both tags are so unique. The digital tag shows your skills with the mouse, and your butterfly tag shows your skills with the heat gun (grin). That was a wonderful happy accident, and I agree the butterflies look like they are flitting above the flowers.
ReplyDeleteI was a BIG fan of Morse, and later, Lewis. I first remember seeing boats like that when I watched those shows. Thanks for bringing them to life here!
Cool tags Chrissie. I think renting a houseboat barge would be a lot of fun for a vacation. I'm glad you showed those photos. :) erika

ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend
A beautiful sunny beach, and I simply love all those butterflies. I used to love seeing the barges and houseboats along the Avon when I was living in Stratford so your photos today brought back happy memories. And I completely agree with you about there being some people who do really see a flower - and I have no doubt you are one of them!

I love your tags Chrissie, especially the seaside one as the seaside is my favourite place to visit. The way the tag has curled really makes the butterflies look like they're taking off! Have a wonderful weekend, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteTwo great tags!! I love the curved metal - it looks bell shaped. The beach photo looks so relaxing - wish I was there right now!!
ReplyDeleteThe silver embossed effect is great! Two lovely and very different tags and thanks for sharing the photos.

ReplyDeleteI am 1 week away from retirement, so expect more regulat visits again :o). Happy weekend and let's hope that rain will stop for a while....
Wow..your tag is fab Chrissie..the butterflies are just so beautiful and really stand out..I love using wall paper too, sadly our local hardware store no longer lets me have his old pattern books anymore...
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in at Go Tag Thursday...x
Love the photos of the barges...I always wondered what it would be like to live on one..probably not big enough with all the craft stash I have,lol...x
Beautiful tags. I love the happy accident with the butterfly tag, how perfect would that be to hang on a bottle of wine!! It's been rainy and unseasonably mild here as well. How funny is it that I think those are the best days to be outside, and when it's sunny and hot I stay indoors. lol. I just love the barge for rent idea, how I would love to spend a vacation week in one of those. You have such an interesting home Chrissie! xsending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteLove your happy accident, your curled tag looks fab xx
ReplyDeleteGreat tags, Chrissie - I admire you adeptness at digital imagery. Beautiful iamges.
ReplyDeleteI don't know which I prefer... the beach tag or the butterflies tag... both great Chrissie!
