Tag and Photographs

Image
Hi All from a beautiful sunny day at the NE UK Coast. Thank you for dropping by today. At Tag Tuesday we have Animals as the theme for the next two week. It was chosen by Michele and she has also teamed with Karen at Lunagirl to give a prize to one lucky winner chosen randomly. Today I made a digital tag with brushes I added to Paint Shop Pro.. Hope you will join us with an animal tag or more than one if you feel inclined. We would love to see what you make. More Southport photographs today. Difficult to know where to start but as Southport is famous for the amazing Lord Street, that stretches for about a mile and has the most incredible gardens and shops, I thought I would start there. It is said that Napoleon got the ideas for the Paris boulevards when in 1846 he was lodging in on Lord Street.  Lord Street has so many shops you think they are never coming to an end if you walk along them. The best thing is to walk on the opposite side of the road and look up at the amazing buildin

Hi All and a warm welcome to Jumbled Crafts. Thank you for calling in.  Happy T Day to anyone who is visiting from Elizabeth's post.  Everyone is invited just do a drinks related post on your blog and link it. This was taken at the end of Southport's very long pier where there is a wonderful cafe / amusement arcade with all the old penny machine favourites. You buy old pennies and then try to beat the old machines. Being in holiday mood we gazed out of the amazing sloped window at the beach and ate a cinnamon bun with mugs of coffee. Today we start a new challenge at Tag Tuesday and this time our very own Michele has chosen Animals as the theme. She has also managed to offer a prize from Lunagirl  so pop over and have a look at what you could win if you enter the challenge with your animal tags. Another of my sewing attempts and I think I may be improving at last. The image is from Laila Ansbergs. The pages of animal images were dated 2009 and are ones that my daughter gave t

Nice shady trees as well, as it was very hot most days  Bottoms Up The sea never seems to comes in very far at Southport and even if you go to the end of this very long pier you are still well away from the sea. This was looking back towards the promenade  This little train goes from one end of the pier to the other and the lady driver is so lovely and helps everyone on and off and waits for people who are maybe in th

Hi All. Hope you have had a good week. We have been away in Southport and the weather has been amazing. Lots and lots of photographs to sort out and hopefully some will be good enough to share with you in later posts. Thank you for your comments while I was away and sorry that I didn't manage to visit your blogs but the Internet was useless so we gave in and had an Internet free week. May do that every time we go away as it was really quite good once we got used to the idea. At Tag Tuesday the theme Anything goes still has another day to go so I am sneaking in with two tags that I made before I went away. This large tag is for Go Tag Thursday where the theme this week is Country but it fits anything goes as well. The theme at GTT is always posted for the following week so you have plenty of time to make a tag for there. I chose Italy as my country and added a background of famous architecture and a map of Italy as a second layer. The tag is covered in a mop up paper edged with D

Hello Friends and Followers. Thank you for visiting Jumbled Crafts. Today is the start of a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday where we will look forward to seeing your entries for the Feathered Friend Theme. If you need any ideas the team have come up with lots of different one so do pop over to the blog and have a look. You have 2 weeks to join us then we chose the Top 5 and you could be one of them and invited to be a guest designer sometime in the future. This is what I made and I couldn't resist taking a photograph of it on one of Astrid's beautiful papers that you will find free on her blog. This is how it started out Can you guess what it is? It is a little case for my i-pod and ear phones. I made this in bright colours because I left my i-pod and ear phones on the seat last time we went on the train. Vic saw them just in time before we left the train. No way will I miss seeing this bright little case. Do't forget to join us with a tag at Tag Tuesday for our anyth

Hello from a beautiful sunny day here at the NE UK coast and I am hoping it is the start of a good week as we will be away until next weekend on the opposite coast for a change. I do have a scheduled post for Tuesday and hope to have a little internet time to do the odd comment but not sure about that until I get there. At Tag Tuesday we have the theme Anything Goes and still over a week to make a tag of your choice and share it with us or if you make a tag for another challenge add it to us as well. Always love to see what you make. Here I am still trying hard with my sewing machine to fasten bits of things to other things for crafting. It never seems to work for me so I have left on all the dangling ends to distract you from the sewing. The owl is one I coloured in an adult colouring book and he will be another distraction hopefully. A mop up page background 'sewn' onto green card Moo Mania and More have dancer as their theme this time I have two dancers and I hope you can

Tag and Journal Page

Hello Everyone. A lovely morning here after all the rain yesterday. Thank you for calling in today and I hope you like what I have made. At Go Tag Thursday the theme for this week is Tape Measure or Ruler. Good to know the week before what the theme will be for the coming week as it gives me time to think about it and make the tag early.  I used the Tim Holtz measure stencil then coloured the he tapes with Distressed ink. The quote I found on Google and the own is a picture of my knitted tea cosy. He turns up on all sorts of crafty things. Will link this to our Tag Tuesday challenge as well where Valerie has the theme Anything Goes so any tags you make just add us to your post. Art Journal Journey  have Gill as their host this month and the Elegance and Grunge theme is proving to be a winner for sure with some terrific ideas. I did the elegance bit first with the ladies from DezinaWorld 15  where June kindly provides lots of free images for us to use. Then I made some grunge brushes

Tag Tuesday, prize winner news and TIOT project

Hello Everyone and welcome to Jumbled Crafts. Great to have you pop in and thank you for your visit. Time for another Challenge at Tag Tuesday and this time Valerie has chosen the theme Anything Goes. You have 2 weeks to make a tag and we would love to see what you make. This tag started out with an old mop up page stuck onto it. Then I added drips of alcohol ink here and there. Next came the flowers and leaves cut out from a seed catalogue before making some mushrooms from a book page. The butterfly was cut out of a magazine as well. The mop up page didn't stick down too well so it has added extra texture to the tag.   The winner of my prize for the Faces Tag Challenge was number 19 and that was   Gibby Frogatt. Well done Gill and if you let me have your address through Valerie I can send the prize to you.  There is still another week to go in our 'Little Things Mean a Lot' challenge at Try it on Tuesday.  Hope you will join in with us and make something that fits in wi
