Journal page

Hi All and Happy Weekend. Hope you will enjoy whatever you are doing. I will watching sport on television as usual. Thank you for dropping by.

We collected some of Nature's wonders on our walk on Wednesday and have used some of them to make a journal page for Art Journal Journey where Valerie is hosting the theme for this month. It is Indian Summer/ Autumn. The page is a 9x6 inches

Still lots of treasure to use.

I am also entering this at Stamps and Stencils for their Elements of Nature Challenge

Also I would like to enter this at Anything but Cute where the theme there is An Autumn Day

The background was painted with Distressed inks and then I stamped it with some large 'Tim Holtz Collection' stamps that I bought recently. They are from Stampers Anonymous,  called Cracks and Specks. I was a little disappointed in the way they stamped but it was the first time I had used them so maybe they need using more often for best effect. Then I used a Spider's Web Dreamweaver stencil that I love to use. Everything else is what I collected on our walk in Dane's Dyke. Not sure what bird the fluffy feathers were from but there is an unusual bird that nests there and it is very small.

Have a great day

Love Chrissie xx

  20. this reminds me of dusk on an Autumn day, so this is perfect for our An Autumn Day Challenge! Loves those background colors to set off your natural treasures! Sorry your stamps didn't give a good first impression (geddit??? "First Impression"!); usually SA has a very good quality product. Hope they work better as they get used. I heard if you rub a rubber eraser over them it helps when they are new.

Thank you for sharing your lovely work with us at Anything But Cute. Hugs! Sara Emily DT
