Tag and Scrapbook page

Hi All. Nice that September has started off bright and sunny here on The NE UK Coast. I am half watching the adult seagulls teaching the baby ones to fly. They are using a roof opposite my window as a nursery and all day long different babies arrive to be taught--what a noise they all make. It is fun to see that they do have different characters and some make the trip to the harbour quite quickly while others don't seem to want to leave the roof at all. They nest on an industrial estate a short way from here so how they get to the roof opposite I haven't a clue-maybe short hops.

At Go Tag Thursday the theme is Hats. I always think Hats is a fun theme with so many different kinds to choose.

The picture is from a PSP tutorial I wrote way back on 2005 and I have blinged it up a bit with jewels and sparkly tape.

Now to Digitally Sweet Challenges for their theme and that is to use
Lozzy's Digi Paper Designs to make a scrapbook page. I just won some beautiful Luna designs at Digitally Sweet so a bit thank you to them for choosing my work.

This is my grandmother when she was 18 and I have chosen three of Lozzy's free papers. They can be found here at
A Bit More Time to Craft that is Lozzy's Challenge blog so I will be entering this piece there as well. I am hoping I got that all right as I have never entered there before.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and a nice holiday weekend for those in the US. I am looking forward to seeing Andy Murray playing in New York this afternoon.

Love Chrissie xx

  1. Yes, it is a bit of a mystery how baby birds get from A to B when they don't appear to be able to fly properly and I'd think the bigger the bird the more difficult it must be.
Love your tag Chrissie with your blingy hat, although narrow doors might be a bit of problem :)
Beautiful scrap page and wonderful photo of your Grandma, they were so elegant in those days. (good luck with the challenge too)
Have a great weekend.... Gill xx

  4. Since I'm not a hat person, I had to laugh at Yvonne's mention about wearing it on a windy day.

I never get tired of seeing digital, and I am always surprised at how true to life digital often looks when it's incorporated into a scrapbook page. Your choices for this piece turned out wonderful.

Enjoyed the baby gull story. Children! Human, animal, or avian, they are all unique and are often a puzzle and a mystery to be solved.

  12. I do love her hat! Fantastic digital makes Chrissie, the Vintage photo is so precious it deserved to be framed. Such a shame I have hardly any pictures of my grand parents when they were young.
