Book and Box

Hi All. Welcome to Jumbled Crafts and thank you for calling in.

A reminder that there is still a week left for you to join us at Try it on Tuesday for the Children theme. Any type of crafting that follows our theme and guidelines would be great so do join in. Today you will also see our choice for the top 5 from the last challenge.

Country View Crafts have Travel the World as their theme for this month

I made a front for a journal The main images are from Luna Girl and a stamp by Rogue Redhead  The quote from Tim Holtz and labels are all Tim Holtz as well. I just used crumbled brown paper for the background and designed the Autumn Leaves paper myself

Altered Eclectics is always anything goes so long as it is something altered and follows their rules. The challenges lasts for the whole of September

I covered a box

box

Box taken apart
Painted inside

left over wallpaper to cover outside

reassembled

Belt--a 50p find at a car boot sale. I used some of this to make the fastener. The ties are leather and the other pieces metal. Still a lot left to use for other things and lots of beads as well.

Hope you have a great day

Love Chrissie xx

  1. Loving that travel page Chrissie. And the journey is definitely the beginning of the adventure seeing after a trip there is always the travel journal to make. :) The box came out gorgeous too. You found a great piece of jewelry to dissect for the latch. Have a great Tuesday. Hugs-Erika

  2. The cover is lovely, but the box is a real show stopper, looks like a very expensive piece from a fancy boutique, great! Have a fun day, take care, and enjoy your tennis. Hugs, Valerie

  5. What a fabulous post, Chrissie - with terrific projects (though it won't show me the last photo at the moment. I'll come back later to try again). The Parisian page is just fantastic, capturing that golden age excitement and colour and style. Love it! And the textured treasure box is a triumph (you can tell I'm excited by the alliteration). Fabulous work.

  12. I'm in awe of the travel piece. I wish I had more time, I'd join in, since I bought some Paris related napkins recently. Your page is spectacular.

That box is unbelievable. Who would have thought a lowly box could be turned into a genuine work of art! It's ingenious.
