New Challenge at Try it on Tuesday

Hello Everyone and welcome to Jumbled Crafts. Thank you for calling in and I am sure you are all waiting for the New Challenge at Try it on Tuesday. The theme this time is to Create a Scene and my team mates have some wonderful ideas so if you need inspiration just  pop along to TIOT then join in with us and your scenes. Yoiu can make anything you like so long as it follows the theme. If you pop back there next week you will see the top five for the Lots of Layers Challenge.


I made a page for one of my journals. I started off with an A4 sheet of gloss photo paper and used alcohol inks in blue and green and swirled them about with a piece of kitchen roll to cover the page. Then I added white acrylic here and there for the clouds. The little houses and fences are from Tando and the stamps are from here and there. The ones that I highlighted white pen on are from Joanna Sheen but the others date way back when and have long since lost their identity.

    I love your little houses with the rustic terracotta tiled roofs - and the tiny fences are so sweet! Wonderful alcohol ink landscape for the background too. Thanks for having me over at TIOT.

    Love your countryside scene Chrissie, great effect with the Alcohol inks for the background and the mix of stamps and collaged images adds a great texture.

    Great idea for the clouds, that is so effective. And the way you have made the "lawn" works brilliantly too. Lovely scene, your plant and tree stamping gives it a good depth.

Hi All. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see here. A fine bright day but colder today so I may fit in a walk later though I had some curtains to make before I do anything else. At Tag Tuesday this week the theme is Diva. I don't always remember to show my tags for there as you need to be a member and and do your own posts on Tag Tuesday's blog. I chose Elizabeth Taylor as my Diva she was so beautiful in films but definitely a Diva in her private life. Art Journal Journey are still drawing me in with the artists inspired theme so here is yet another page for the challenge there.  This was inspired by Damien Hirst though years ago I didn't feel inspired by his work at all when I saw some of it for real at the Liverpool Tate Gallery.
