Journal page and face
Hello Everyone. I am pleased to say that my MIL may be coming home either today and tomorrow and has made a remarkable recovery. She looked like a different person, when we visited yesterday, from the one who went into hospital just over a week ago. Thank you for your kind support and thank you for your visits to Jumbled Crafts.
The theme at Art Journal Journey is Autumn colours
I painted the background with various acrylics in Autumn shades then I added PVA and stuck on crushed Autumn leaves which I had collected and dried. Then I sprinkled on some gold and it sparkles in real life though not on the photograph unfortunately. The quote I found on Google. I think maybe I should do some stamping here and there to fill in some spaces.
At Kim Dellow I am still enjoying seeing all the faces that people add each week and trying to learn more about drawing faces and the different techniques.
I may have gone a bit way out with this face. It was a boy on a train listening to music. His eyes were far away and his red headphones seemed to just appear from no where through his hair. I used Promarkers for this. Think I still need L plates.
Have a great day all
Love Chrissie xx
Wonderful journal page, love that quote, too. Your boy looks spaced out from his music! Glad to hear that M is doing better! Hugs, Valerie

Very glad to hear the update on your MIL - what a relief for you all, and thank you for letting us know.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning mixed media creation capturing the autumn golds perfectly - fabulous use of the real leaves. No need for L-plates on the faces - I think this is a stunning portrait. I absolutely see his faraway expression, caught up in the music, and the headphones peeking through the hair draw the eye in towards the face so cleverly. Really impressive.
