Inchie and Journal Page



Hi All who pop into Jumbled Crafts. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the projects that I have posted today. Not a bad morning here so I expect we will be choosing one of the many events here in Bridlington and joining some of the many holiday makers that have been here for the long weekend.

At Every Inchie Monday the theme this week is envelope.


Mine is a paper one that I made in Paint Shop Pro. and stuck onto felt. I have already seen two of the fab inchies others have made, an amazing sewn one and one all in beads. Difficult to imagine how different people have so many ideas.

Moo Mania and More have the theme bottles this time and Art Journal Journey have the theme the sea for the rest of May so this page will be ok for both.





I tried to paint a row of rocks that go out to sea and the water splashes against them-not sure that worked too well to be honest. When we walked along the beach I often make up daft poetry so I made up one for this page. Apologies to Wordsworth for the first few lines.
 Close your eyes if you can't stand bad poetry lol

    Love your little inchie, and of course, the journal page is wonderful. Love all the bottles bobbing towards the shore, wonder if that gin is still okay?     Wow Chrissie, your journal page is so beautiful!! Your waves and sand look so realistic and I love the way your bottle look like they're bobbing up and down in the water! Great inchie too! hugs :)

    You reminded me of once actually putting a note in a bottle and dropping it into the sea. I wonder if anyone ever found it? I wonder if the note had changed to bleach? Fun poem!

    Lovely little inchie envelope, great idea.
    Something completely different here for "The Sea" and another super idea for the "Bottles" theme, a clever combination. It's a good painting too.

    Love the beading on your tiny envelope inchie... and your tempting bottles of gin made me laugh out loud, especially the poem (probably wisest to resist temptation though... if it looks too good to be true, it probably is!). I'm no great adorer of Wordsworth (his sister Dorothy's account of the daffodil walk appeals to me far more... no, he wasn't "lonely as a cloud" at all - they were out together!), so I've no problem at all with your adaptation!

    PS I think you are perhaps in Bridlington. Our family lives in Filey. DH's Mum was a war bride to Canada from Filey. We go back quite often to visit cousins etc. I used to enjoy going in to the scrapbook/card shop in Bridlington! I think it is closed now...

Hi All. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see here. A fine bright day but colder today so I may fit in a walk later though I had some curtains to make before I do anything else. At Tag Tuesday this week the theme is Diva. I don't always remember to show my tags for there as you need to be a member and and do your own posts on Tag Tuesday's blog. I chose Elizabeth Taylor as my Diva she was so beautiful in films but definitely a Diva in her private life. Art Journal Journey are still drawing me in with the artists inspired theme so here is yet another page for the challenge there.  This was inspired by Damien Hirst though years ago I didn't feel inspired by his work at all when I saw some of it for real at the Liverpool Tate Gallery.
