Flowery Canvas

Good Day All. Thank you for dropping by. I didn't stay up all night to watch the election results as the first thing they said was an exit poll had predicted what the number of members for each party would be. By 12.30 am I was fed-up of hearing about it and how right it had been so far, so I went to bed. Seems they were right by the looks of what is on television this morning. 

At Moo Mania and More the theme this time is Flowers and at Anything but Cute it is Vintage Garden

I made this canvas which fits in with both the challenges



Firstly I used a stencil and Grunge Paste on the canvas then I used various Rangers Distress crackle paint. It didn't seem to crackle at all but I did like the effect it achieved. I then sprayed it lightly with Cosmic Glitter Mist.

I added ribbon or paper flowers that I made and a few cut-outs from a box of oddments that people have sent to me. The centres of the large ribbon flowers are some beautiful buttons that my friend Rose sent to me--thank you Rose

    oh, the canvas itself is so beautiful, love this texture. i often end up with Backgrounds where i don´t dare to add something;) not the Intention, but anyway... but i really love the way you are making flowers from ribbons, you did it so well!

    This is gorgeous Chrissie ! The background is amazing... I was up from 1 am till 4 am because a cat went through Sukie's cat flap and she was very very upset... So we watched the election results and had between us a whole hot cross bun loaf with lashes of butter... Needless to say I won't check my weight tomorrow !!! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine

    WOW Chrissie!! This is just brilliant!! I really love your textured background! (odd about the texture paint??) I think you achieved great texture, even if it didn't crackle and I really love the colours you used! These are such great flowers, I love the combination of paper and cloth!!     Those ribbon flowers really pop off the canvas! Your colors are so vibrant and bold. I wonder what happen with the crackle paint? Even without it this canvas is awesome sauce! And the texture is amazing!

    Can't bear to think about the election results... would far rather focus on your fantabulous canvas. The background texture is just amazing - even without the crackling! - and the fabric flowers are stunning - beautiful composition and colours too. Love it!

Hi All. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see here. A fine bright day but colder today so I may fit in a walk later though I had some curtains to make before I do anything else. At Tag Tuesday this week the theme is Diva. I don't always remember to show my tags for there as you need to be a member and and do your own posts on Tag Tuesday's blog.
