Out of a Hat Challenge 73
Good Morning All. At last we have some real rain and the garden looks very happy. We have already had a bumper crop of courgettes and runner beans and there seems to be lots more to come. We are growing something we have never grown before--spaghetti squashes and they look the size of pumpkins. Lots of those so I need to look for a recipe for those--anyone any ideas?
Another week has flown by and it is time for a new challenge at Out of a Hat Creations. Anyone is welcome to join in with us there and you can make anything at all that fits in with the theme.

The theme for this week is Summer Days so lots of ideas for this one.
I haven't done any crocheting for a long time and don't have much idea how to do it really which means just making things up as I go along and without a pattern-too difficult to understand. This is a small sunhat so I guess it will have to be called a decoration. It is made from bits and bobs of wool as I have a bag full so plenty of choice.
Sam, Janet and Sandra will have lots of great ideas so pop and see what they have made for this challenge as they would love to see you.
Thanks for dropping today
Love Chrissie x

ReplyDeleteYour crochet hat is beautiful ! I used to crochet a lot at one time, I forgotten how! We could use some rain and there is nothing in the forcast, out come our watering hoses. Take care, Shirleyx

ReplyDeleteFabulous crochet piece, love the colours.
ReplyDeleteWe could never find the seeds ourselves but have had spaghetti squash a couple times a few years ago from shops and loved it.
My husband ( my personal chef) says we had it steamed. He scraped out the spaghetti looking centre, steamed it and served it like spaghetti, with grated parmesan cheese, olive oil and black pepper... ooh that's making me feel hungry now and envious of yours.. Gill x
Beautiful summer hat Chrissie
