Is this too CAS ?
Here I am with a second project for today--soon got back into crafting instead of the ironing :)
At Addicted to Stamps and More this week it is their Clean and Simple week and I usually try to hide this week as I am never quite sure how much or how little counts as CAS style.
The card is White Hammered and I drew on some black lines in pen Added the Marianne die cut flowers and stamped the sentiment or is it a quote? Then it looked too bare so I stamped the butterfly. The top looks bare doesn't it? My inner artist said stop right there but the real me said add lace and trimmings lol
Hope you day is going well
Love Chrissie xx
The card is lovely, and it can never be too bare for CAS! My friend loves CAS, and has a huge living room, painted white, and on one wall there is a smallish black and white picture, and that's it - it makes her happy! Valerie
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie, this is a lovely CAS card! I like everything about it. That butterfly stamp is so pretty. Thank you for joining in at ATSM.
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie, not sure why you normally hide on this week as this is a great CAS card. I love how you drew on the lines, I have never done that but it is perfect for CAS, so thanks for the inspiration! And your inner Artist was right I think, you didn't need anything else!! Thanks for joining us at ATSM.
ReplyDeleteFor those of us who love to fill the page CAS is the hardest thing to do. You have mastered it, this is beautiful XOXO Zoe
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty this is Chrissie! Love how you made your flowers look like music notes! Darling idea! Hugs, Ira xox

I was just going to say the same as Ira, the flowers are like musical notes. A lovely card Chrissie and you can't have too much white space when it comes to CAS! lol xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS card, the words are lovely.

It's a beautiful CAS card Valerie. I love your design and the sentiment is a favourite of mine. Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM. Caz DT
ReplyDeleteI don't think it needs anything else Chrissie. You've got that "triangle" thing going that I've read you need on a card, and mauve is always so soft and sweet.

Hi Chrissie. Such a pretty card with your flowers (especially the gingham ones - I adore gingham!) :) Love how you added the lines with your marker to create the focal area. Lovely sentiment and the butterfly is a nice touch. Great CAS card!! Thanks so much for joining us at ATS&M. Loll xx
ReplyDeleteYour card is really pretty and well done on avoiding the ironing -I do that alot:) Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteI love this Chrissie, those lines are the perfect touch xx
ReplyDeleteI think this is a perfect CAS card and that sentiment is so lovely! xx
ReplyDeleteSimple and sweet, Chrissie. I do like the added butterfly - excellent decision. I agree about the flowers resembling musical notes, like a happy song of friendship. Very nice card.
ReplyDeleteBlessings for more creativity,
Marianne xo
I know exactly what you mean about wanting to keep filling things up... but I think you've hit exactly the right moment to stop for a clean, pretty, definitely-CAS card!

I can so identify with your comment about CAS cards. I really struggled with that very thought and wanted to hide to for a while. But I've found that the more I do it the better I get at it. I think this is a perfect CAS card and I love how you added the lines to pull the flowers together. Thanks so much for joining us this week at ATS&M.
ReplyDeleteHi Chrissie. A perfect CAS! Beautifully card. Really love this.
ReplyDeleteWith my other hat on....So pleased you joined in the fun. Thank you for playing along with the ATS&M challenge. Have a great week.
Sending hugs to you both,
Florence xx
