Tag Tuesday Heritage
Hi All. Another post from me so soon after the last one. Thank you for calling in and I hope you will join in with us at Tag Tuesday with this new theme by our team member Wilma and learn about her choice of the theme
She has chosen Heritage as the theme.
My grandmother and grandfather who taught me about music and history She was Irish and he was from a village near Nottingham in England
On this tag is a photograph of Whitby Abbey that I took. It is a place we visit quite often and on different days the atmosphere of the place changes. It is known all over the world as part of Bram Stokers inspiration for the Dracula book. You can learn more about that here
Don't forget to join us at Try It On Tuesday for our Add a Quote theme
Have a great day

ReplyDeleteGreat tags Chrissie. You are lucky to have the pictures of your grandparents. it is so wonderful to have that personal history. The love wire is such a nice touch. Wishing you ah happy day.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful photo of your grandparents - they sound like definitely a good thing... all that culture and education. And I do like the cut of her jib, particularly - she looks like a woman with attitude! Gorgeous vintage surroundings for the tag too.
ReplyDeleteYou can absolutely see why Stoker was inspired by Whitby's ruins, can't you - spooky as all get out!

What wonderful tags. I was at a museum today where there was a lecture on genealogy. One of the topics was making sure to keep and, if possible, restore old photos. It was wonderful that you have two such beauties, one taken by you and one from your family tree. Love the holes for the ribbon on the Whitby ruins.
