Card and Digitally sweet

Hello Everyone. I hope your day is going well and thank you for calling in and making a cold and gloomy day brighter. We even had a snow flurry this morning and more is forecast in the next few days here.

Hope you will join us at Tag Tuesday for my chosen Bookworm tag challenge

At Country View Challenges the theme was chosen by Sue and it is to make a card in 30 minutes or under. It sounded like fun so I wanted to have a go

I made a card with distressed inks and a die cut that was recycled from a card that my friend sent for my birthday-thank you Max. I used a rose stamp for around the edges and on the ink circles

I wasn't sure when the time should start and quite a bit of time was taken up choosing the inks and the stamp to use.

Now to Digitally Sweet where the project has to always be 100% digital.

The theme this time is Winter

I used some of my own winter photographs for the background, the birds and squirrel then I added some children from a picture in a book. My photographs were all taken in Sewerby Park not far from where we live. I added a bit of falling snow as well because we haven't had more than a few sprinkles so far this year.

Enjoy the rest of the day

Love Chrissie xx

  4. Brilliant makes Chrissie, you were definitely allowed extra time to choose your supplies and I love how you've cannibalised your birthday card - just make sure you don't sent it back to the sender lol. You are the queen of digital, and your second make is fabulous! Have a wonderful week, and thanks very much for entering my challenge at Country View Crafts xx

  5. I've seen these types of challenges before, where you set a clock and complete something in under a certain amount of time. I've always said that I spend more time coming up with the spread than actually creating it. That's why I SO admire your wonderful < 30 minute card.

And of course, I'm always impressed with your digital creations. This one ROCKS (and glistens, too)!

  8. Great quick card - I love the coloured stamped circles with the flowers over. Does the 30 minutes include losing things and looking for them time? Great digital collage too.

  15. Brilliant makes Chrissie! I adore the die-cut silhouettes, they are so incredibly realistic! It took me a LOT of thinking time before I achieved the making in under 30mns... a lot more difficult than one thinks! Love your digital make too with the snow actually falling... (I don't know how to do that)
Thanks for joining us at Country View Challenges this month.

  17. Love the Distress bubbles on your half hour card, and great recycling of that lovely silhouette. I wish snow looked that romantic in real life. I mean, I guess it does in the places where they get proper snow... yesterday we just had a whole day of really damp, dreary stuff falling from the sky onto the wet ground and vanishing.

  19. I love your card, Chrissy! And to be honest - I often need more time to collect the things I need for crafting than to make something *lol*. So it is okay not to count this time.
Thank you so much for joining in with our challenge at Country View Crafts and have a great week.
