Tag and canvas
Hi All and welcome to Jumbled Crafts. Always great to have you call in and thank you for being so supportive. It feels more like winter at the moment as it has turned cold and grey now. Even our leaves are turning colour at last so I went to collect a few more yesterday
At Go Tag Thursday the theme is Autumn
I made a tag with a painted background then scanned of some of the leaves I collected. Printed it out and collaged that them added a face from a Luna Girls page called Autumn Girls. Then I added die cut leaves
The leaf arrangement need to be upside down to scan it
I covered mine with various piece of material so they had different backgrounds to use in other projects
Frilly and Funkie have Author Author as the challenge this time
I made a canvas with a stenciled background. This was painted and distressed with inks. Then I made a Da Vinci design paper and altered the Mona Lisa to monochrome. To this I added a few bits as a clue to the book. It is the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I read this twice and saw the film but still not sure what it was about? It was such a best seller so it must be good.
Have a great day all
Love Chrissie xx

The autumn tag is gorgeous Chrissie, and the leaves you collected to use are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThe canvas is wonderful with your links to the Book.
I have to admit I never saw the film and only got the first few chapters of the book read, but as you say it was very popular.

Two gorgeous projects. Yes the Mona Lisa collage is perfect for the Da Vinci code - love that jaunty crown. Your autumn tag is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFabulous projects, both of them Chrissie! Love how you used your found Autumnal treasures in the first one, clever to just scan them and then integrate them into the piece! The second piece is a great idea too!!
ReplyDeleteTwo great projects, love the idea of scanning the real leaves. I haven't read the Da Vinci code, not my thing, but your canvas is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED that tag. You put so much into it, including your leaves you collected. It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI read the Da Vinci Code and saw the movie TWICE on TV. Seems the girl is the last in a long line of descendants of Jesus. At least, that's what I got from it. Apparently Mary Magdalen had something to do with it, too. She was his mistress or something. I read somewhere it was all just conjecture, anyway. But I LOVED your take on it.
Wow Chrissie! I adore your tag! Of course the Mona Lisa canvas not only looks fabulous but reminds me of Paris! Chrisx

ReplyDeleteSuch an earthy rich Tag Chrissie..loving the selection of autumn leaves..very rustic and just perfect for the theme this week at Go Tag Thursday...xx
ReplyDeleteClever idea to use the Mona Lisa as a clue to your book inspiration. Thanks for joining us over at Frilly & Funkie for the "Author Author" challenge.
ReplyDeleteI love your tag Chrissie, and you've collected some really nice leaves, great idea to scan them for later too. I've seen the film and read the book - I prefer the book - I can never understand how they can condense something that takes hours to read into a 2 hour film lol xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous projects. Very clever to scan the leaves for your tag. Love the stenciled background on your canvas and the little metal bits to remind us that the book had clues to be unlocked. Thanks for joining us at Frilly and Funkie.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
