Journal page and tag
Hello Everyone who calls in at Jumbled Crafts and so nice of you to visit--thank you.
At Art Journal Journey the theme chosen by Valerie is Indian Summer/Golden October/ Autumn. She is such an inspiration coming up with new ideas to inspire us everyday for the challenge.
I made a digital background and used a face I altered and painted over years ago she is thinking about the falling leaves and their beautiful colours.
What used to be Twofers has come alive again and is now called Always Use Rubber. For their challenges you must use a rubber stamp and ink. The theme this time there is 'Not Everything is Black and White'
This is a large stamp and I have never used it before--it was in the bottom of a box of forgotten stamps. It is called Dolly Mama's by Joey Inc. and also has Stamps Happen Inc on the wooden part. A good solid stamp for sure.
Have a great day
Love Chrissie xx
Love your AJJ page, the colours are so gorgeous. thanks for another wonderful page for AJJ. And the tag is fun, what a great stamp! Have a fun day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI love how you incorporated the face with autumn leaves. It's very soulful. She certainly looks deep in thought.
ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE fan of wood mounted stamps. I am not good with UMs or acrylics. They don't work for me, or at least not well. Not that I'm much of a stamper, but when I stamp, I prefer the wood mounted red rubber. That's why this stamp sounds adorable, and something I wholeheartedly agree with! No one ever gets hurt when I have coffee (grin).
Cool piece today Chrissie. I loved looking at it and finding all those half hidden details. Hope its a good week so far. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI love the digital layout you made for the AJJ challenge! It is absolutely gorgeous and I love the quote, too! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteYour lady is so beautiful, she looks deep in thought and I love how the autumn leaves cascade over the page! The tag is so much fun and made me smile :-). The stamp is fabulous and the buttons and ribbon really compliment the look. Wishing you a great week! J :-)
ReplyDeleteI could do with that stamp, only saying TEA instead of coffee! Fab tag, thanks very much for sharing it with us at Always Use rubber

ReplyDeleteThat really is a great stamp you have used for your tag entry at AUR. When i started stamping it was all red rubber mounted on wood and that was for a reason, quality. Thank you for joining us Chrissie XOXO

Chrissie - I'm not a huge fan of digital images, but that fall themed artwork is stunning! I love it! Now, on to your tag, isn't it funny how we find our old rubber stamps and put them to use so easily? I love the sentiment - LOL. Thanks for joining us at Always Use Rubber ~ Christi
