Inchie and photographs
Welcome to Jumbled Crafts and happy new week to you. Thank you for calling in.
Here is an upside down hello from Oscar, one of my daughter's twins
This week at Every Inchie Monday the theme is physics. I was always a chemistry technician and sometimes it included a little physics. I never really grasped it but managed to muddle through.
I did have one of these when they were popular so stuck with something I knew.
Last Monday we went on the train to Sheffield and then got a bus to Bakewell. The journey is very beautiful and even calls into the car park at the wonderful Chatsworth House. It was a dull day but everywhere was very busy.
We found a little courtyard tucked away on the main street and there was a shop at the top of these stone steps
Really different things for sale in some of the little courtyard shops and even somewhere for coffee and cake.
Time for a walk along the river and a look around the market before the beautiful journey back home again. A nice way to pass a dull day and our train company had cheap rail travel for a month so it only cost £10 each.
Have a lovely day all
Wonderful photos from your outing, you visited some very picturesque places. That cat is real little clown, so cute! Great inchie, too! Have a good start to the week, just got back home before the rain started today! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove your inchie! Remember having one too! Physics was never my strong point, more interested in Chemistry - got by in college though! I loved seeing your photos of Bakewell - haven't been for years - it still looks beautiful! Hugs, Chrisx

ReplyDeleteLove your inchie and Oscar is just an absolute doll!! Great photos, that little courtyard is just lovely and the shot of the river is beautiful. Everything is so lush and green, I'm jealous!! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteGreat inchie and lovely photos of Bakewell, we love going there. Our weather is enough to annoy a saint.
ReplyDeleteawww Oscar is really sweet Chrissie :)
ReplyDeleteAlways wanted one of those 'things' on your fab inchie - the nearest I got was one of those other 'things' - I think they were called 'clackers' and had two dangly balls that left you with a sore wrist if they hit you.
Great photos for your fun day out. The courtyard looks very intriguing.
Have a great week.
Gill xx
When I saw the photo of your darling cat, I thought that your inchie was a drawing of one of his toys. I have been on the hunt for one of those since I think my cat would be entertained for a long time. Well, until the dog ate it! Fun inchie and I love the photos you shared.
ReplyDeletegood idea for your inchie - I have a white and black cat like Oscar -named Kaliko
ReplyDeleteOh - you might be able to tell about the cat as I use a picture of her for my avatar!
DeleteWhat a wonderful post, thank you Chrissie!
ReplyDeleteWe had one of those'.clickers we called them ' I know its not the proper name but the name stuck when the kids were small , Love your super inchie.

What a good blogpost! An adorable cat, a super inchie (I remember these swinging balls, they could go on for a while, couldn't they), a nice trip with coffee and cake and the heart puzzle at the end.

ReplyDeletelove the inchie and I had one of those things as well. I cant remember what they were called. Thanks for showing the pics from your day out, it looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteI remember those desk toys think everyone had one in the 90's I found them fascinating - never been good with physics as being a girl we weren't allowed to take the subject! But great idea for your Inchie - love your cat and Bakewell looks adorable - never been there is it the home of Bakewell tarts!??
ReplyDeleteYou aren't allowed to say Bakewell tarts in Bakewell Jenny. There they make Bakewell puddings which are quite different lol
DeleteLove Chrissie xx
Thanks for all the fun you've shared this week, Chrissie. Love all the toys, the kittie and I could get lost for hours in shops like that--especially if there are coffee and cake to be had! Cheryl
