Inchie and new toy

Hi All. Welcome to a new week and a better week weather wise I hope as we seem to have had rain, snow and wind for most of the last week. Thank you for dropping by and for the lovely and encouraging comments you leave.

This week at Every Inchie Monday where the theme is crochet. I had intended to do a small piece of crochet but time got the better of me so I just have  a picture of a flower pattern I have done many times

I thought I would show you my new toy which Vic has bought me as part of my birthday present. My birthday isn't until January but he thought I needed this now as I have had difficulty getting good photographs of my projects with the dark and dull days recently.

Here it is my collapsible light box. It came in a very small bag with other coloured background to use in the bag as well. As soon as I opened the zip it shot out and was a lot bigger than I expected. I can't imagine that I would ever be able to get it back into the round bag but I am hoping it will be in use a lot of the time.

Nothing to photograph yet as crafting time is at an all time low for me at the moment with things still ongoing with MIL

Have a lovely day everyone

Chrissie xx

  11. love the inchie and glad you got a light box, they are so handy to have. I have one that folds up and is sadly in storage until the addition gets done (if ever!). Hope things get better with your MIL

  12. Love your Inchie. You won't need to put your light box away because you'll get such great photos. My husband gifted one similar to me several years ago and it has its own dedicated spot with the lights it came with. Hope your MIL situation gets better and you get some arting done.

  14. OMG it's a white Tardis!!! What a great present especially for this time of year when it's impossible to get good light indoors. And I totally support your "shortcut" crochet flower. When real life takes over we must adapt...

  15. I think I maybe need one of those bags too as I have a terrible time getting the light right in my photos. Lovely little crochet flower - and the picture counts! I'm sure your crochet is beautiful and it would be a picture anyway, wouldn't it? Wouldn't have known it wasn't 'real' if your hadn't told us.

  16. Great inchie and can't wait to think of what you think of your new pressie. Weather is rubbish at the mo for taking photos isn't it, I could do with some help so let me know if I need one!!!

  18. I love your inchie, especially as I envy anyone who has the patience to learn to crochet! (I have lost count of the number of times I have tried to learn! ) LoVe the new toy - hope you can get time to yourself and that MIL's health improves soon! Chrisx

  21. Love your inchie Chrissie, and that light box is such a good idea. It really is impossible to get a good photograph at the moment as is't always so dark. Have a fab weekend, Sue xx

  22. I think you're allowed to use the crochet photo given you did the crocheting in the first place! It can't be easy at the moment with all the demands on your time and your energy and your mental reserves... take good care of yourself.

And enjoy playing with that light box when you get the chance - it looks like a very useful addition to the crafting paraphernalia!
