Spring Journal Page

Hello Everyone and thank you for your visit. I am slowly getting my brain back into crafting mode after not doing any for almost a week. Today we will be out, so no crafting at all and I won't be here at the weekend so I will have to up my game I guess.

At Art Journal Journey the theme this month is favourite poem or quote and at Moo Mania and More they have the theme Feelings of Spring.


For this page background I used a piece of glass and dabbed on some emulsion paint then sprayed water here and there. Then I press the thick paper onto the glass to make the background. The paper was a nice cream colour so everything matched ok. I loved the 'poem' that I found online and the pansies were cut from a plant catalogue. Vic gets loads of them through the post and I usually keep them as the pictures are so beautiful.

    Gorgeous clever background Chrissie and the flowers from the catalogue match perfectly! Beautiful poem.. in Austria we call the pansy flower - "stepmom" STIEFMÜTTERCHEN--lol

    I always find pansies a little blowsy - they're so bold and brazen in their colours and flash petal layers... and you've captured that perfectly here! Love the texture effect background too.

Hi All. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see here. A fine bright day but colder today so I may fit in a walk later though I had some curtains to make before I do anything else. At Tag Tuesday this week the theme is Diva. I don't always remember to show my tags for there as you need to be a member and and do your own posts on Tag Tuesday's blog. I chose Elizabeth Taylor as my Diva she was so beautiful in films but definitely a Diva in her private life. Art Journal Journey are still drawing me in with the artists inspired theme so here is yet another page for the challenge there.  This was inspired by Damien Hirst though years ago I didn't feel inspired by his work at all when I saw some of it for real at the Liverpool Tate Gallery.
