Collages

Hi All. Nice of you to visit today and thank you for your really lovely comments.

Today it is cold and windy again but we are going to be brave and walk along the seafront into town--may even venture onto the beach for part of the walk--brr.

At Art Journal Journey the theme this month is Collage so something for everyone to get their teeth into I'm sure.


Here is what I came up with yesterday using a page from a magazine and some emulsion paint for the background then adding images for my theme.

Next collage is digital and for Three Muses where this week the theme is Twirls, Swirls and maybe a few splatters


Years ago my husband, Vic, used to be into fractal design and has a folder with some of them in it. The background for my collage is one of them as I just love the swirls and twirls in it. I then thought of nature as it is supposed not to have any straight lines but I think since that quote was made people have strived to prove it wrong so I made my own quote. I added a couple of splatters to fill the gaps.

    Two wonderful collages, Chrissie. The text did make me smile on the first one - I'm not sure those two chaps are up to the challenge of the fabulous women they're eyeing! And the curls and swirls of the digital collage are fabulous - leading the eye on a dance around the page. Wonderful!

    Two fabulous collages Chrissie, the top one really made me smile and the digi one just looks amazing with those swirls and splats. So cleverly put together and I love how you adapted the quote!

Hi All. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see here. A fine bright day but colder today so I may fit in a walk later though I had some curtains to make before I do anything else. At Tag Tuesday this week the theme is Diva. I don't always remember to show my tags for there as you need to be a member and and do your own posts on Tag Tuesday's blog. I chose Elizabeth Taylor as my Diva she was so beautiful in films but definitely a Diva in her private life. Art Journal Journey are still drawing me in with the artists inspired theme so here is yet another page for the challenge there.  This was inspired by Damien Hirst though years ago I didn't feel inspired by his work at all when I saw some of it for real at the Liverpool Tate Gallery.
