Out of a Hat-Challenge 69

A warm welcome to everyone who pops into Jumbled Crafts and hope your day is going well.

This week at Out of a Hat the theme is 'You Hold the Key'--so that could be lots of things with lots of meanings for you to think about.

I took it literally and made this


This is what I made as I love to make 'garden art'.

this is a close up of the flowers.

this is how the key holder started out-with an old hook from the car boot sale and an empty milk container. The keys were from Poundland and are quite large and heavy.

I started off by giving the hanger a metal look but most of it got covered up anyway
I used the TH Tattered flower dies and some other shapes for leaves and cut them out from the plastic 
milk container pieces. Then I coloured them with acrylic paint and Promarkers and finished them off with several coats of varnish so that they are weatherproof. I ironed the shapes as some of them were out of shape from the curves of the milk container--you need to put them inside something to iron them--hence the tea towel in the photograph


Other 'garden art' in our garden -'Old CDs on the fence which catch the light and give out some wonderful colours-on the bottom left an old belt that I took apart and fastened the circles to the fence-they also catch the light-nice in winter when the plants die back and the fence is bare.
a beautiful lampshade with bead work that shines in the sun-this cost 20p at the boot sale.I bought it for the beads but couldn't bear to take it apart.
Another boot sale find is this metal hat that is really a coat hanger with 3 hooks. I am looking for rusty metal shapes to hang on the hooks--already found the saw when we went for a walk and it was at the edge of the path. Left the seagull droppings in place as I think it adds character lol.

Hi All. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see here. A fine bright day but colder today so I may fit in a walk later though I had some curtains to make before I do anything else. At Tag Tuesday this week the theme is Diva.
