Steam Railway and Steampunk

Hello Everyone I am so pleased that you visited here today. A warm welcome to my newest followers and I hope you find something here of interest.

Today I am posting two of my challenges in this one post as they seemed to have a common theme.

The first one is my page for the Craft Barn Alpha Challenge which has the letter R this time. Always lots of different ideas from the team and from the many people who join in.

I chose the word Railway as I just love travelling by train and visiting restored lines where volunteers run trips with old steam trains and carriages. I used two of our photographs taken at either end of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Part of this was used in the Harry Potter films as the Hogwarts Station and in many other films and television plays etc. It runs from Pickering to Grosmont and even as far as Whitby at certain times of the day. Well worth a visit to Grosmont to see where they do the restoration work--it is like Steampunk heaven with rusty old tanks and bits of engine all over the place.

The second challenge is at  Sandee and Amelie's  where they have Steampunk Challenges. This time the theme is Fairy Tales and I think it is a wonderful idea for a challenge. Do go and see what is already there cause they are amazing.

Here is Puss in Boots after he helped the miller's son turn into the Marquis of Carabas and, with the help of Puss, go on to marry the beautiful Princess. Puss found the royal life boring and needed a new persona to start some more adventures. It would always have to include some boots as since his young master gave him the first pair he was a 'boots' cat for sure.

Off he went to Chrissie's Emporium where she made him lots of Steampunk Gear and he loves this new look. Hope you do too. He is now known as Steamy has found a new adventure------?

I looked in my folders and found lots of steampunk type things and dressed up a picture of a cat-all done in Paint Shop Pro. Then I printed and cut out the picture. Next I added it to a tag that I made with Rangers Distressed Stains and a Chocolate Baroque Gears Stamp.

Thank you for looking and enjoy your day

Love Chrissie xx
