Card and Inchie
Hi All and Happy New week to you. Thank you for your visit today and the lovely comments that I always receive.
A few days left at the Mixed Media Challenge so I thought I would join in as they have a colour challenge this time and I love doing those
First of all I made a page of coloured squares from their photograph then I overlaid the scene on the coloured square to give them some texture
I cut out the squares and die cut heart shapes to make the design. Some of the squares were left over so I used those as a background.
At Every Inchie Monday this week we have Question as the challenge
Not very original-sorry.
OK Why is a raven like a writing desk? Many have tried to answer that one and failed.
Have a great day and a lovely week ahead
Chrissie xx
What a great project for our colour challenge at MMM Chrissie, love how you built up the flower and the way you have managed to get the colours just right is super! Have a great week and of course thanks for adding it toour challenge!
ReplyDeleteLovely piece Chrissie, the colours are gorgeous and you made the best of them. Great little inchie, too. Next time one of the ravens lands on my balcony I'll ask it about the writing desk, okay? Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI always love Mondays at your place. This week, I also got to see how you manipulated all those colors. Clever use of digital to turn it into traditional art.
ReplyDeleteI guess I have the same question. I'll wait for Valerie's raven to tell the tale. Speaking of ravens, I noticed next year's inchies are animals, so I don't think I'll be joining. I look forward to seeing how you interpret them, though. Can't wait to see next week's either (grin).

ReplyDeleteThank Elizabeth. I think there maybe other answers as well lol

ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty this is! I love how you've layered the colored squares and created the little hearts into a beautiful center design! Super fabulous and creative!! Thanks so much for being inspired by our color palette and joining our Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #30!!! Hope to see you again in for our December challenge too! :)
ReplyDeleteLove how you got the colours so true to the chart, its a fantastic piece Chrissie.

Love your colour page, fabulous colours in the background for the lovely layers! There are questions, questions all the time! xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat colour matching and inchie.
ReplyDeletelove the colors and the inchie, I had never heard that question before but I dont think I have ever read Alice in wonderland. But I do know the answer. LOL God Bless the internet. "Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front!"
ReplyDeleteDo I get points for knowing the riddle is from Alice in Wonderland? Good question for your inchie!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Chrissie. I love the frame, great way to showcase your beautiful focal piece, and the metallic design adds a lovely elegance! Fun inchie today! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colours you've used for the hearts - it's very effective makes a lovely card. Good Inchie and great question posed - from Lewis Carroll me thinks something to do with producing notes though flat but never being back to front ( they used to spell never as nevar!)
ReplyDeleteLove this beautiful card Chrissie! I love those colours but never got a chance to play! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteYour inchie as ever of course made me smile! Chrisxx
