Journal page and altered book

Hello to everyone visiting Jumbled Crafts and thank you for calling in. Hope your week is going well and the weather is being kind where you are as I know there is a lot of strange weather all over the place. Ours is ok but still not very summery.

Another journal page from me today for Art Journal Journey and their MAP theme

This started out as a mop up page and a piece of an old map that was printed on a canvas backing. I stuck it onto the page then covered the whole thing in white paint and blobbed on some alcohol ink that turned into trees. The crazy animals are from an old calendar that I couldn't bear to throw away

Now for a changed book that I made with a few challenges in mind.

I painted the book white then green then added crackle to the bottom part of it. When it was dry I added a bit more white paint here and there over the crackle as it looked so bare. I made the flowers and the top one is a TH tattered flower die cut with textured paste and Distressed stain. The stamp is one I got from Astrid in one of her bundles which has been a joy to use. I coloured part of the stamping then highlighted it with white pen.

I am not a fan of crackle-well not on my pieces anyway.

Here is a close-up

The book that was part of a bundle I bought at a charity sale.

I would like to enter the book at
