Digital and other challenges
Hi All from a very wet NE UK coast. Hope your day is going well and thank you for calling in at Jumbled Crafts.
I made a fully digital card front for Digitally Sweet where the theme this time is Spring is in the Air
I made the gold background in Paint Shop Pro then made some PSP brushes and used lots of layers to add them in various colours and depths of colour. The quote I found on Google.
So I thought why not use this project to make another one.
At Stamps and Stencil they too have Spring is in the Air but you have to use stamps or stencils
Also at Moo Mania and More they have a new challenge that asks to use some Newspaper on your project
I really enjoyed making this. I painted a magazine page white then stuck on some pieces of newspaper, then some more white to soften the edges of the paper. I struck on my digital picture and added stencils and stamps then some of the foam flowers I found in my bits and bobs drawer and never thought I would ever use.
The measuring tape stencil is Tim Holtz and the flower one from ULT. The stamps are mostly Joanna Sheene with the single flowers being a wooden stamp with no name at all.
Hope your day is going well--still raining here so more crafting on the cards I reckon
Love Chrissie xx
Come to say hallo! P.

A great mixed media piece Chrissie. I really like the way you have combined the digitally crafted piece with the stamped and stencilled background. Thankyou for sharing your creativity with us over at Stamps and Stencils. Toni x
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful artwork, Chrissie.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining us at MOO MANIA & MORE
Isn't it wonderful when you find something in your stash that you thought you would never use, then it turns out to be the perfect addition to compliment a spread you are working on? I enjoyed both of your pieces today, because they are both very different, yet cover the same/similar themes. Love the layers in the digital art, and the definitely mixed media art in the second piece.
ReplyDeleteBoth are fabulous. Thanks for bringing hope of Spring, Chrissie!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy day xx
