Journal page and Inchie

Hello Everyone who calls in and thank you for taking time to visit Jumbled Crafts. A bit better weather today after lots of rain and wind so I am hoping to have  a nice walk along the sea front.

Firstly a reminder that you still have almost a week to join in with us at Try it on Tuesday where the theme is Bags and Boxes so you can actually make a bag or a box or just use images of them, the choice is up to you.

Now for Every Inchie Monday where the inchie theme for this week is Tea


I made a mug of tea on a felt background and added some star shapes. I am not fond of ordinary tea so this mug must be liquorice tea which I love.

A great new theme at Art Journal Journey. This month we are asked to make pages with collage as the subject and some journaling on the work as well.


The background is a mop up page and all of the bits and bobs for the 'mini me' came from a free Tesco Magazine. I thought this might be an idea for a fancy dress costume -maybe not eh?

    I love your fun collage, and a coffee maker costume is one I really made some years back when I was teaching, but not with such an elegant machine. Love the inchie, too, never had liquorice tea. Thanks for joining us at Art Journal Journey, hugs, Valerie

    I would love to taste liquorice tea - never had one yet. The inchie is lovely -the funny collage is just gorgeous! I love how you created this - looks fab! You are with us again at AJJ Chrissie..and this is what makes us happy - I hope you will come up with some ideas this month!

    Great inchie, that is some super small fussy cutting you have to do there! Great collage, so much fun! If you do make that into a costume, I'm gonna need lots of photos please! haha. hugs :)

    I adore this collage! Such fun! As for your cup - it is fabulous, but the mention of either tea or liquorice....well, I'm afraid to say neither of those will be going into my mouth....Costa Coffee? Ah well! That's a different matter! Hugs, Chrisx

    I love your super tea inchie Chrissie, but have to say I think your collage for AJJ looks fantastic, great details and such fun to look at. It would make a much talked about fancy dress outfit for sure.

    love the stars on the inchie. I am not a tea fan at all, but I do like to drink out of mugs, especially all things hot chocolate! Love the mini me, she is adorable

    I think if you wear that as a costume you definitely need the kiwi glasses! Such fun... and a lovely inchie too. Needing my morning coffee at the moment to get going in the gloom.

Hi All. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see here. A fine bright day but colder today so I may fit in a walk later though I had some curtains to make before I do anything else. At Tag Tuesday this week the theme is Diva. I don't always remember to show my tags for there as you need to be a member and and do your own posts on Tag Tuesday's blog. I chose Elizabeth Taylor as my Diva she was so beautiful in films but definitely a Diva in her private life. Art Journal Journey are still drawing me in with the artists inspired theme so here is yet another page for the challenge there.  This was inspired by Damien Hirst though years ago I didn't feel inspired by his work at all when I saw some of it for real at the Liverpool Tate Gallery.
