Card and Collage

Hello Everyone and thank you for your visit. I was up really early so decided to get crafting and do a couple of challenges.

The Challenge at Anything but Cute this time is Summer Romance with this beautiful mood board to help with ideas


Lots of wonderful things to inspire a project on this board and beautiful work by the DTs as well.

The beautiful blue background and the bicycle seemed very romantic to me so went with those and made a card which will nice as an Anniversary Card for a friend in a few days time


I made the background paper in Paint Shop Pro to match the bunch of flowers on the board, then added the bike image on the plain blue to match. The bike image can be found here with a few more and they are free to use. I layered the flowered paper on card and raised up the bike. The lace seemed to match and the flowers I had made a while ago. A few shiny stones and a Promarker edge to the white card and that's it ready.

Moo Mania and More have just started a new challenge today called In the Garden.



I used one of the photographs of our garden and digitized it to use as a base for a collage. I added two Moos but you don't have to add Moos anywhere if you don't want to.

    Beautiful work for both challenges, I have a very similar bike with flower basket as a stamp. The card is gorgeous, as is the page for Moo Mania and More, lovely colours in your garden.     What a wonderful take on the mood board Chrissie! I love the elements that you pulled out, the bike is such a great focal piece and the pink flowers make such a wonderful background! I sure do love your handmade flowers, so big and lush! Stunning card.

    I love sea-foam green colors, they are so soothing, and those photos are very elegant. Your anniversary card will be a delight and greatly appreciated by your friend...handmade beauties are always keepers. Your garden is so pretty! I always love photos of England's gardens. The climate seems to be perfect for flowers. And I love photos of your countryside, too.

Hi All. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you like what you see here. A fine bright day but colder today so I may fit in a walk later though I had some curtains to make before I do anything else. At Tag Tuesday this week the theme is Diva. I don't always remember to show my tags for there as you need to be a member and and do your own posts on Tag Tuesday's blog. I chose Elizabeth Taylor as my Diva she was so beautiful in films but definitely a Diva in her private life. Art Journal Journey are still drawing me in with the artists inspired theme so here is yet another page for the challenge there.  This was inspired by Damien Hirst though years ago I didn't feel inspired by his work at all when I saw some of it for real at the Liverpool Tate Gallery.
