Journal Page and Tag

Image
Hello Everyone from a very sunny NE UK Coast. We walked into town along the seafront and it was so sunny on the return journey that we sat for an hour in the sun and watched the sea sparkling and fluffy clouds drifting along. It's a hard job but someone has to do it I reckon. Thank you for calling in at Jumbled Crafts At Art Journal Journey the theme was chosen by the lovely  Yvonne and we are asked to show some Out and About ideas. I did a digital take on the theme and went for a Night Out and About with the girls. Go Tag Thursday have Men/Boys this week and Moo Mania and More have Time so I have combined the two in a tag. The man is an image from June at Dezinaworld15  and the background paper I made myself in PSP. Now for more photographs of the trip to Hull I will post some of the ones from the art gallery in another post.  Grand piano on the station and you are invited to play it Phillip Larkin statue on the station  Year of culture flags at the station ...

Hello Everyone and a happy new week to you all. Thank you for dropping in at Jumbled Crafts along the way. Art Journal Journey have Yvonne as the host for March and she has chosen the wonderful theme 'Out and About'. Lots of choices for this. As I just love being out and about I am looking forward to thinking what to put on a page.  Here is a page I painted and added cut out photographs from when Vic and Me first met. At the time we both worked hard and the weekends were so precious. He picked me up early in his car and we were off to climb a mountain somewhere as we lived in the Lake District at the time.  This is the background I painted and it is my first attempt at a water colour--I followed an online tutorial in my journal that Valerie made for me This is my 'new' box of paints. I bought it about 30 years ago and never used it as I found gouache much more my style. £10 .25 was a lot of money in those days and that is probably why I kept it thinking that one day ...

Happy Weekend All and thank you for joining me here at Jumbled Crafts. Our weather forecast isn't very good and we seem to be inline for some flooding--it maybe just the sea that is going to coming over the seawall but it does cause a lot of damage when that happens. Hope it is nice where you are. A Vintage Journey have their Third birthday this challenge and the theme is All Aboard. Happy birthday to the wonderful team there and for all the inspiration on the various ways to use Tim Holtz products. Also the theme at Country View Challenges this time is Inspired by Tim Holtz I cut a tag from some patterned card then I sprayed some white card with Dylusions inks. Added the 'Measured'  Stencil TH5012 and used some of the wonderful things from the Idea ology Expedition Ephemera pack TH933113. The words are by TH and were cut from a page that someone sent to me in a stamped image swap a long time ago. The photograph is of my grandfather who never went on a aeroplane in his lif...

Here we are into March already and I am wondering where the time goes as I get older. It never seemed to pass so quickly years ago. Hope your week is going well and thank you for joining me here at Jumbled Crafts. At Tag Tuesday we still have about 5 days to go for the Spring Flowers Challenge. The theme was chosen by Valerie and we have some wonderful tag entries from old and new friends of TT. Hope you will join us there. For this tag I painted some corrugated card in green and then added white glitter for texture. The picture is a child's colouring page I found online and coloured with Promarkers. Next Tag is for Go Tag Thursday  where the theme this week is Butterflies. I am also entering this at  That's Crafty  for the theme Just words I used things that were on my craft space to make this tag--a bit of purple card, a piece of flowered paper, and a little bit of mauve material. The quote that I had printed out and never used and the butterfly cut out from one of my b...

Image
Hello Everyone. Hope your week has started well and thank you for calling in today. Happy T Day dear friends if you have arrived her from Elizabeth's blog , There is a story about the tea bags at the bottom of the post. It's time for another challenge at Try it On Tuesday and the theme is Time for Tea, You can do anything at all so long as it follows the theme so cups, teapots, Alice or anything else you can think of. Lots of ideas from the DTs so I hope you will visit their blogs and maybe get some ideas from them if you don't have any of your own. I have made a teabag holder The photograph was taken with the teabag holder nestled in among my Christmas Cactus that still continues to flower and bud and is so beautiful. I started off with a 12'' x 12'' paper by Anna Griffin  This was folded in half and the two halves stuck together to make one doubles sided piece. Then this was cut in half to make 2x 6'' square pieces. You could use any pieces of pa...

Card and Inchie

Hello Everyone and happy new week to you. Always so good to have you call in and thank you for your support. Thank you to friends old and new that are joining Valerie and me at Tag Tuesday  where there is still another week to join in with the Spring Flowers theme. At Allsorts Challenge this time the theme is to add Metal and/or a charm. Also at Make My Monday they would like Birds so I combined the two. This card is for a young couple that have recently bought a house and it needs lots doing to it. I thought the words were encouraging and the lock and key represents the key to the house. Every Inchie Monday this week had Rooster or Cockerel. We used to live near to allotments and they all had hens and cockerels--what a noise in the early morning! Have a great day everyone Love Chrissie xx
